I think Bloodcarver has destroyed any chance for his being listened to by Michelle.
He’d better hope Greg wakes up promptly and can calm Michelle, else I fear the Great War will restart, with a Sphinx violently and angrily attacking a Dragon.

a single mad sphinx vs. a experienced dragon…?

Greg: Wow… Fingal’s Cave, as featured in the film Cremaster 3: The Order.

Bloodcarver: Is that what they call it these days? Who is this Fingal?

Michelle: Hey! Still being angry over here!

Greg: I’ve wanted to come here for a long time, but never… will we have time to explore after…? I mean…

Michelle: GREG!!?

Bloodcarver: Maybe. If we can deal with the business at hand.

Greg: °u° Alright! ^u^ C’mon, Michelle! Please…?

Michelle: … *GRUMP!* Razz’nfrazz’ndrag’nsightsee’n….

Now that I know, that this island actually exists, I can’t help but wonder, what the dragon did with the tourists.

Staffa is uninhabited and tourists don’t often set foot on it. There are no safe harbours, landings or anchorages on the island, and only smaller vessels can approach closely enough to set down visitors, and then only in calm weather with favourable tides. Longer term stays just don’t happen. Helicopter trips could get around that, but no-one does. Sightseeing boats do pass by the island on a regular basis during the summer months, as does the ferry from Oban to Iona, which gives view of the cave, but these would all be easy for the Bloodcarver to avoid. So unless there were marine mytholos around, the Bloodcarver wouldn’t have to do anything to anyone… hang on…

Selkie: Och… that what I think it is?

Other selkie: Aye… there goes the neighbourhood!

I’m rather wondering what Bloodcarver did with all the *ships* on the way there. He’s airborne from panel 2 onward, and assumed that he avoided flying over (larger pieces of) land, he still had to go along the larger part of the Irish Sea – in broad daylight. Not as busy as the Channel, but.

We already know that he can make himself invisible. So, no problem there. I just wonder if he shows as a blip on the radar. The RAF scrambling fighters to see a lot of nothing…

Hmmm, OK, but I guess that the question is whether Bloodcarver can keep up such a “grade F magic” glamour (as Marshall called it) and his fully loaded prisenger cell *simultaneously* … ;-)

(On the other hand, short of espionnage or battleships, a ship radar is not exactly built to scan the *skies* and with the fair weather shown on this page, chances IMHO are that few skippers will have it turned on in the first place.)

I have got that bloodcarver is just going to look at her then walk into the cave then a few minutes later he sticks his head out of the cave and says with no enthusiasm ” you two coming or do I need to put you into a bubble?” Thats just my thought process.

haha!, Kooooory! the way you drew michelle popping back up after the bubble popped is just -chef’s kiss- brilliant!

also, Bloodcarver, dear, sweet, sweet dragon child…you better have a good explanation or she’s gunna start bitin yer toes!

Not a tiny bit of hell, or even the vast majority. No, I mean the ENTIRE HELL.

Over here is the Fresh Hell, and here’s the Frozen Hell.
We don’t speak of Cereal Hell, which is full of boxes of Stuff. You know the ground up stuff at the bottom of the cereal bag? That stuff.

Holy frack, what a bizarre and beautiful place! Thought it was the Giant’s Causeway in Ireland for a bit there but backtracked and saw it was on a tiny island and then saw the comments above– thanks! Wiki’d it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fingal%27s_Cave Bet that’s a cold, cold stretch of beach! And that’s one *pissed off* Michelle; I suspect we’re about to see what happens when a Sphinx has finally Had Enough Of This Shit.

Also, there’s this, if you want a close-up look at the cave: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHd7yHjQd5U

Bloodcarver really took a beating. You can see all the scars and tears in the wings in that panel when he lands.

Love the left hand becomming a paw. Lions are my favorite.
Also… nice way to geograph the distands between locations. I love this things. When I found stories like this, I also try to map the different locations, so thanks for doing that.

Everybody is talking about the island, but I’m more interested in the rough location of the Avalon. Judging by the first panel and cross referencing with google maps, I am 100% confident that it is in the area of Stanley Dock, what indeed had a large number of BIG abandoned warehouse’s. Page four of Exchange’s seems to back this up as that really big warehouse on that page match’s the largest one at the real life location. Now going off this I am really pretty confident that the Liverpool Avalon is located in this area, but I can’t say I’ve seen anyone talk about it before
