Welcome to 2019! Welcome to a new Skin Deep storyline! Thanks everyone for your patience last year during the big hiatus! It’s time to see what Michelle has been up to!!!!

This page has a special guest star by reader Freya! The calico gryphon flying in panel 2 is her character! You can find more of her stuff at tumblr and instagram.

Happy new year! It’s looking a bit Jabberwocky.

While the chapter title is looking Jabberwocky, the story title seems to be looking at minting.
Obverse and Reverse. The flat sides of coins.
Obverse is normally called ‘heads’. Reverse is ‘tails’.
And what very coin-like object in Skin Deep also has a connection with minting?

“End? No, the journey doesn’t end here… The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it.”

“What, Gandalf? See what?”

“White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise.”

FINALLYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!

When I was checking out what comics had new pages on Comic Rocket and saw this on the list, I literally screamed with excitement.

I did enjoy the Q&A you had going on, and it was really neat learning some of the behind the scenes stuff, but it can’t compare to the actual story comics. And I am just SO FREAKING HAPPY they’ve started again!

Welcome back, and THANK YOU! **happydance** Despite a few comments that sound like it was your obligation or something, I think we’re all just pretty much overjoyed to see this. Man, familiar faces everywhere; and I like the calico gryphon– pretty!

“Beware the jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch.
Beware the jub-jub bird,
and shun the frumious bandersnatch.”

Is this it? Are we finally glimpsing the Wonderland of Skin Deep?

Also don’t beware the jub-jub bird. Give them hugs. Bandersnatches too.

Hmm, mystery bird thing. Can’t make out enough details. :D

Which bird thing?
The 2 gryphons flying past the side of The Drunken Satyr pub? Or the gryphon sitting near the Cirque Fountain?
In frame 1, the birds in the sky above the LA roof are likely feral urban pigeons. Air pollution that needs eradicating. Give things 12 or so years and it’ll be drones that will actively need to be zapped by magic.
