Reader Question 1

The start of reader questions! Sorry to start these in the middle of a current story, but between expecting Borogove to arrive at any time (the printers said between now and mid-February oh boooy), finishing the Nixie of the Mill-Pond, and finishing a bunch of other projects I need a break!.

Speaking of projects, look what came in the mail today!

Gryphon stickers are in the store now! The pre-orders will go out tomorrow! The quality of these stickers far surpassed what I expected, so I have had to up the price a dollar, but I assure you, it’s worth it!

Happy Martin Luther King Day!!!!

Also Jim & Merial: You two have been to first base before apparently. How serious are you two?

Hey! are there any uncommon mythological folks, and/ or monsters, there in the Avalons we haven’t seen yet? what are some myth-folk that have a harder time finding (and sharing) medallions?

Repeating my question from last time:

Hey, Michelle! Have you been studying mythical creatures since you got turned into a lion bird monster thing? If so, what do you consider to be the most interesting thing you’ve learned about sphinxes? Or the weirdest, for that matter?

Your style is well suited to drawing both Benedict Cumberbatch and JBrett/Old!School!Holmes, which is incredible. I’d kind of love to see such cheekboney characters in Skin Deep. Hmmm… what mythological creatures would Holmes and Watson be?

oh god skin deep sherlock fanfic, I need it.

Hey Michelle, Sphinxes are good with riddles and oddball questions right? What do you think of this one:

If it takes half a day for half a chicken to lay half an egg, how long does it take for a peg-legged frog to poke a hole in a marshmallow?

Merial – are you going to slip Greg and Michelle some Nixie spit so you can all have fabulous underwater adventures? Also, would that make Michelle a ‘cat-fish’? XP

I actually have one I’ve been sitting on since I started reading. By the by Skin Deep is one of my favorites.

If there are other Avalons, how many? One per continent? Atlantis?

Just curious and thanks for the great read.

I notice that Michael doesn’t have wings, even though Michelle does. Is this because Michelle is based upon the Greek Sphinx in Oedipus Rex, while Michael was based on Egyptian Sphinxes (Sphinxi?), which are male and wingless?
