Reader Question 9

Here you go, you whiners. Here’s a dragon! But I won’t tell you who or what it is or how (if ever) it plays any sort of part in the plot at all or if it was one of the dragons that died during the Great War hahahahaha I am so mean to dragon lovers.

Do similar yet separate or sexually dimorphic species share the same medallion type (like Satyr types seem to) or do they have their own? Such as a Nixie and Nokk, or a Common Gryphon vs Opinici?

Awesome as usual! Where do we submit reader questions? I want to see what her version of a basalisk would look like, if they exist, I’m assuming they’re monsters, etc. I want to see more monsters in the Avalon <3

D:<! I DEMAND THAT YOU DEVOTE AN ENTIRE STORY ARC TO DRAGONS AS RECOMPENSE FOR THIS CRUEL INJUSTICE.

…Seriously, though, beautiful dragon. <3.
Now I just wish that red one would come back ;~; I liked him. He was cool. Best character in the whole series. Y'know… by obvious merit of being a DRAGON.

Looks like a cross between a frillnecked lizard and a sea turtle! :D I like dragon but the real shame is no unicorns. Those suckers were mean.

You’re a cruel one Kory. Is it because we absolutely adore Bloodcarver and keep trying to get you to bring him back? ;)

You do draw them extremely well, but you do that with all your characters and creatures! Kind of hard not to like any given one of them. <3

Ooh! Ooh! If it takes half a day for half a chicken to lay half an egg, how long does it take for a peg-legged frog to poke a hole in a marshmallow?

Any character can answer. Inf act, the more the merri…er… confusement. Heh heh heh. :P

Those pupils remind me of Dimespin!

So question uh um:
Are Asiatic Dragons shapeshifters? Are they even true dragons? I’m mostly asking since there are several stories of people meeting disguised dragons and then finding out later. Since it’s been stated that a lot of the non-European critters don’t have medallions, I’d have to assume that some of them could shapeshift instead.

Wahahaha! Thank you! X3 I was looking through your questions and “BAM!” my name pops up! *flails arms around like Kermit the Frog* Yaaaaayyyyayayayayay!

That… That’s a really cool dragon. :x Iguana-ish with fin feets? Awesome! Since you’re being secretive about him/her I’ll respect that and just wait patiently like a good fangirl. ;P

Thanks again!

Another answer for the the * meme.

    * Blanche and his shadow don’t get along, and he has lost track of it more times than he cares to remember.  The shadows of white stags aren’t really alive, but they’re mischievous, and will sneak off given even the suggestion of a chance (lucky for Blanche, white stag shadows are only really active when they’re very young- by the time a stag hits his 20s their shadows are mellow and lazy and very rarely run off).  Still, despite this Blanche and his shadow have an unusually lousy relationship- the time when Blanche stumbled into Mag Mell by mistake and his shadow decided to stay behind, forcing Blanche to go through year six in school without a shadow was… well, Blanche still doesn’t like to talk about it.

There are so many interesting things about Blanche and white stags that I have not been able to showcase in Skin Deep. Every day I am honored that Sfé let me use is characters in Skin Deep yaaay.
