So there are human/animal hybrids which are mammals and reptiles, but also some invertebrates (octopus), which means that they don’t have to be in a specific phylum. Is there any restriction to what animal can be in a hybrid? If not, how do the half sea sponge people get around? If so, what’s the restriction?

I was wondering, what’s the precise difference between shedu and lamassu? I remember that one type tend to be male and the other tends to be female and that one type has bull bodies and the other lion bodies, but I wasn’t clear on which is which. On the topic, are they separate creatures, or are they more like the Grecian/Egyptian sphinx divide where they think of each other as the same species?
