Yeah to be fair, she *has* not been given nearly enough time to actually come to appreciate her nonhumanity. Probably easy for us weirdo (affectionate) furry readers to forget that.
I bet if you suddenly turned into your favourite fursona you would also have adaption difficulties ;-)
Even if you are into that, turning into the real thing would certainly feel strange in the beginning. After all, you couldn’t just take it off like a suit…
When the mask comes off you did not know you were wearing, you’re forced to perform something you’ve never had to do: the donning and doffing of the mask. Depending on a number of factors, is the mask itself worth wearing? To relearn a whole new identity is a monumental task.
Also, once she feels suitably safe doing so, she’ll probably find she sleeps best in fullform. It’s one thing felines excel at!
With big box stores and malls going out of business and sitting abandoned, would larger avalons start appearing across the US?
That is the cutest thing *ever.* I wonder what would happen if you dangled a string in front of her nose…?
So, there are a few things to consider. One is instincts. Cats are supposedly instinctually driven to hunt, so dandling something in front of them illicits predator responses.
On the other hand, cats are farsighted, not able to see clearly things too close to them and may reach out to investigate.
Would sphinxes also have to endure these?
