I hate to ask, but what are tallships? Trying to search for that just brings up boats, and searching feathers doesn’t help either.
Tallships refers to sailing ships, especially the multi masted ones, with tall masts, such as clipper ships that used to carry trade goods, with an emphasis on being quicker than the rival ships.

Yep! Tall ships are large rigged vessels. I’d expect a comic called “Uneven Keel” to have some boats in it. Checking it out the cover for chapter 1 features some very nice rigging.
The wings don’t have anything to do with tallships, it’s just that the artist draws both very well, and that that’s impressive to me.
