The Asian elements are evoked in the translations of the Japanese days of the week. Tuesday is Fire-Day, Wednesday is Water-Day, Thursday is Tree [Plant]-Day, Friday is Gold [Metal]-Day, and Saturday is Earth-Day. (Sunday and Monday are Sun-Day and Moon-Day, respectively.)
I don’t know how that lines up with the Indian system Ravi would have been guided by.
