Colin is too cute!;) Um…they have a dog? Why does that seem the most weird of everything I’ve seen.
Well it IS a ghost dog. Phew Status Quo restored.
Ghost dog. Cause you where to cheap to buy food.
Panel 2, I love how Jim’s mouth curls.
Jim gets the funniest facial expressions.
You know what I never noticed? The end of Colin’s Tail is greenish…
Dundundun!
oh man I met this little british kid the other day an dhe had the cuuuutest accent! Now I can only read colin’s lins in his voice and smile xD
Cripes, but “Mum” has an amazing skirt (skirts?). I want.
Hmm… bird-like fore-legs. Would that make her a hippogryph? I often have trouble remembering the differences.
No no, my bad. “hippo” means horse. Hippogryphs have horse or dear like rear halves; gryphon’s have lion-like rear halves (though sometimes the forelegs too, apparently, in this comic at least).
Actually, the “standard” gryphon in legend and heraldry has the foreparts — head, shoulders, wings, talons — of an eagle and the hindparts of a lion. Kory has added a few variants to her canon.
Rereading this during the Great February 2016 Hiatus…..
Hey, is it just me, or is that a Sphinx statue adorning the church/temple thingie right behind Jim and his brother? Looks like one– leonid paws, wings, a lion’s tail peeking out from behind… Just curious.
It could be but without the head, or coloring, it’s hard to tell if it’s a Sphinx or a Gryphon.
Huh. I only just now noticed that the Finn family ghost-dog is here
