I would have said that Madam U was in on it, but the expression on her face in panel 3 is a pretty innocent one….Unless thats what she wants us to think!!! >:
I’m onto you….
yah, dats the face of an old matron who’s trying to be as calm and collected for her younger “charges” while also being just as much out of depth as they are. Seen it more than a few times at some less than fun moments.
I love panel four. Blanche’s expression is awesome.
I think the best one was panel two. The one with Blanche’s mouth running at 60 mph.
and for extreme woobie-cuddle emotion invokatiot, look at poor anthonie’s face panel 2. Not the first time he’ll be making that face….
Ok, I really really want to know where you found your bird anatomy references, because I keep looking, but I can never find any bird wing refs anywhere that are detailed enough to show both the underlying bone structure, AND the way the muscles and skin look over it. Which is something you’ve shown really damn well here, even though it’s in the process of changing rather than being properly set. If that makes any sense.
It’s probably to late, but just look up bird skeletons.
Also, the musculature isn’t much different from your own arm- thats all a wing is, really. An arm with the fingers merged to creat another, small, forearm
