This might be a long walk.
Do you like my sphinxes?? Would you like to see more? And a bunch of other cool mythical creatures too? ALMOST REAL, VOL 5: MYTHOLOGY is up on Zoop for funding! It just passed it’s initial goal and now it’s working on stretch goals! The more money it makes, the more money the artists (aka ME) get!
Almost Real is a zine about speculative biology, and this volume is about mythical creatures as seen through a more scientific lens to make the creatures feel like plausible animals that could be alive in our world! Neat! My entry is about SPHINXES and I have TWO full-page spreads! All about sphinxes! You should check it out!

I will not be fooled again!
At least the wind is to their backs.
Michelle is barefoot?
Lost her flip flops when blood carver snatched her
Flip flops are pretty uncomfortable to walk long-distance in. She might have been barefoot here anyway!
The real question is whether going barefoot is better than bare pawed.
Loving the fuzzy legs. Granted it’s been a hot minute since she had the opportunity to shave, but she strikes me as the kind of person who lets it grow even when she does have access to a razor.
Imagine if shaving her legs while in human form would result in her legs also being shaven in sphinx form? That would just be terribly embarrassing.
As I recall, Michelle has always had “fuzzy” legs. Not a shaver, apparently. This may be because of the Bohemian student environment she’s spent a lot of time in, or because her “inner Michelle” is covered with fur, and shaving goes against the grain.
I bought the book and the pin, on Sunday! It’s 15 CDN of shipping cost, but the content and quality are worth it!
Oooh, love the way you used color here. It makes the landscape look desolate, but not drab and uninteresting.
Wonder what the shades are doing here. Going to Diss? Following and leading Michelle?
And I love the effect. How can you make it windy, moving, and hopeless at the same time?
I don’t like the hairy legs look. It’s nasty.
