Well that could be both true and sarcasm. If they had “names” out in the wild, they’d be hard to type. Coming into the Avalon and getting legal documentation could have come with getting them birth certificates and “proper” names.

When I think of how the Swiss & German last names from the one side of my family, and the Scottish, Irish, & French names on the other side all got ‘misspelled’ when my ancestors went through Ellis Island, I sure can imagine how these two feel…

Given the year and Ike’s apparent age I’m guessing he spent most of his childhood during the great Muppet drought of the late 1980s

Got to say I’d have somewhat similar reaction if someone blatantly just called my name a nickname (not the one used here, of course. THAT is a nickname [or alias?]).

But I’d be curious right back as to why they would think so.

Granted, when I met a person who gave me a name that basically means “basket of fries and chicken nuggets”, I too was curious as to if it was their real name. Turned out it wasn’t and that their actual name was close to that and it was easier to pronounce than the real name.

Not going to say what it was of course, but yeah. That did happen.

Nice touch Ike having a rough time holding a pen and being a leftie. The English language is forcibly made for the right-handed pull. The way lefties are taught, it forces the writer to dig into the page w every line, which is wearing, painful, and why many go “hook hand.” There is a way to write w ease as a leftie, but it involves tilting the paper the opposite direction, and pulling downwards as u write, sort of. It isn’t taught. I’ve found exactly one YT video on it.

well…. I just chugged the whole series in 2 days…. and I should say, this is such a good comic!

btw Ammon (my bestie) things that blood(don’t recall the second part) is a handsome fella (she used sexy instead of handsome ) btw she’s my roommate and both started to read the comic at the same time

and yeah I know probably she would read this here, so HIII AMMON!

PS: great job with the comic
