Today is the 19th anniversary of the beginning of Skin Deep! The first actual page was posted on Nov 23rd, 2006, but I posted the cover page teaser on November 11th, 2006. 19 years man. And it’s been like, two years in-universe, lol. Thanks for reading!

Would Brits be more likely to say, “fast pound”, or would they borrow “fast buck” from American popular culture? Just wondering.
The American bugbear responded pretty quickly to “fast buck”.

Not a Brit, but if someone asked if I’d like a “quick pound,” even if I was in Britain, I’d think they meant something completely different.

“Fast buck” (or in this case “quick buck”) is not considered uniquely American. The official definition is “money made easily or quickly and sometimes unscrupulously”. So yes, they’d say “fast buck”.
Dunno why folks are talking about fast bucks in here; Blanche’s barely made an appearance so far.
As a northerner, we’d say quick cash or make some dosh. But as a teen around the time this is set im pretty sure id know what fast buck means mostly via films

Congraulations! If anyone wants an idea of what this takes, check out the links to other comics here. So many of them haven’t updated in months, if not years, and they just seem to have stopped mid storyline not because they came to a natural end.

I was about to be upset that whatever happens is Kevin’s fault, he seems pretty chill, but if course much was made about the talisman so our bugbears are primed to miss something mischievous (or dangerous). Sorry Kevin!
