Kevin’s on that American grindset of “just appear in someone’s place of business and ask for a job.”

I mean if asking for a job works for him. Good on ya for tryin’
Trouble? Right here, in Secret Village in the City City?!
The Bugbears are one of my most favourite guys in the comic and whilst I really like Alec as a character, Kevin’s light-hearted comfort in himself is such a treat.
Nice hat.
I think you mean NIZE HAT!
Jägers represent!
(Also, I’m pretty sure if they show up here, they won’t be with medallions?)
*Fist Bump*
Iz a gud hat.
*Nods* Go gettem, Kevin.
Bugbear powers strictly are whatever strikes fear, if I understand them correctly? So either Kevin’s got mad quick change skills, or there is something terrifying about that costume.
Something Wicked This Way Comrs. Evil carnival. I dig it.
That is not the career pivot I would have expected!
X-D
What could possibly go wrong?
YES! Showman Keven! Love it! (Also want that hat dangit)
You should see his watermelon act guys.
I laughed so hard my lungs hurt for days.
There is no way this ends without a musical dance number.
I trust Kevin as much as I would trust someone like Beetlejuice…
I’m not scared of the outfit.
I’m scare of what the outfit could MEAN
As the comedian/vocal SFX artist Wes Harrison said, “If you’re going to make a scene, *be* seen!”
Why do I get big Weird Al vibes?
I’ve been in these situaions. My answer is always some polite variation of “You’re awfully interested in finding something you can do for me. If it were just generosity you’d accept that I’ve declined and leave me alone. Because you’re not doing that, I have to suspect that thre’s more in this deal for you than for me. In othr words, this is a scam or a con.” So I wonder what the angle is here? Secure himself a place on the inside so he can let his friends in maybe? Or so he can let someone out to where humans would see?
Can you imagine the chaos with Kevin on the scene and Alec watching him from the shadows?
I mean, bugbears!
Yeap Im really starting to like Kevin.
His little pot-belly delights me!
It wouldn’t be the first time a circus doubled as a mobile Avalon. Just wasn’t expecting Kevin being an Elder-in-training.
I don’t think that’s been actually stated, but I can easily picture it. After all, all but the most gullible of rubes /know/ that circuses fake a lot of stuff. The rubes aren’t really seeing what they think they’re seeing.
I meant it more for the dark, complex history of the circus and “freakshows”. They gave the “Other”ed a safe harbor and community, even as they exploited those same people for profit. It wouldn’t surprise me if in this universe, actual Mythicals found refuge alongside those with birth defects, amputees, short and overly tall people, and ladies with more facial hair than is the fashion of the time.
