Abbie is trying SO hard, c’mon boys. Be civil.
edit: if you saw two pages update today, no you didn’t! I’m not used to actually having a buffer and guess who scheduled two pages to go up at once…
Hey, it’s like having a special sneak peek like my $2 patrons get! If you saw next week’s page early and liked that, maybe consider joining my Patreon!

“They weren’t all real spiders.”
See? Alec is trying hard too.
“Matter of fact, most were just spidertails!”

Mimicry is incredible.
Because unless a tarantula is not a spider, Alec has to have a place to gather the spiders from.
I sense a fight incoming
Kevin actually seems favorably impressed by the rain of spiders. Too bad Alec is too keyed up to notice.
When did Kevin change his coat?
Must’ve been during the previous comic, when he was off screen. Obviously not a big deal for him — after all, in page 54 he was wearing it, then poofed into the stage costume in the middle of a sentence.
As for why? Not sure, butpossibly if this fight becomes physical, he didn’t want it destroyed
That is a very specific negative announcement – so it won’t be spiders specifically, but centipedes? Cockroaches? … still all fair game!
YEP, I saw that loophole as well. Not RAIN SPIDERS. Meaning it can ‘rain’ something else, or spiders come up out of the floor vents….
It’s almost all loophole, really…! 8-)
or…
you can “flood” spiders instead !
another implication of they were not all real spider is that there were actual spider in the lot, not just illusions.
“or…
you can “flood” spiders instead !”
… we’re still talking about a stage show, right? Using professional equipment?

Okay, watching Alec and Kevin for a while now, I really want to know: are the Bugbear speech bubbles an affectation? If not, how does Kevin manage to speak like other species? And either way, what does a dripping speech bubble *sound like*?
Creepy, would be my guess! >8-D
And yeah, it seems it’s a deliberate choice!
I have noticed only Alec seems to be pushing “spooky voice.” Reminds me of the speech bubbles in the “Sandman” comics. Every character had their very own style of speech bubble and font. The letterer for that series must have deserved some kind of award.
It’s an affectation. Earlier in the chapter Kev surprised Alec and he briefly lost his spooky drips.
Nothing against roaches crawling from the floor either >8D
with every page i am falling deeper in love with kevin. that residents jacket? *chefs kiss* my boy has quality taste
God I love their dynamic. This is such a fun side of a character like Alec you don’t get to see that often. Boys, boys, don’t worry, you’re *both* absolute dinguses.
alright, i guess the bugbear ethic argument and father calling was my hallucination, since the author’s notes say that i didn’t see it :p
Starting to realize why bugbears usually live alone, lol
I love these two’s bickering.
Kevin naads to be gay, w a boyfriend who occasionally waggles his lashes at Alec just to add to the chaos, as he then sides with/harasses Kevin.
It would be a pit of chaos that was then set om fire and shot into orbit, and be amazing.
I’m not sure if that would shock Alec in any way.
The thing that really strikes me about this page is, for some reason, Alec’s haircut.
It’s neat and tidy. Obviously cared for, and cut recently. Which implies that he cares about his hair care & grooming.
Which in turn implies that he *deliberately* cuts his facial hair like that.
And that’s just boggling to me.
Also, in the last panel, I love how the bridge of Alec’s nose, which is always like that, echoes Kevin’s scruffed-up-because-snarling nose. Kinda implying that Alec is *always* being aggressive.
ANOTHER RESIDENTS REFERENCEEEE IM SO HAPPYYYY
