Happy New Year! The comic is back! I hope you’re ready for more “bugbear cousins bickering at each other while the bar owners quietly fear for the structural integrity and/or amount of creepy crawlies filling up their establishment” because I know I am.

I’ve got to assume Alec goes hard during his actual performances because all ww really see out of him are bugs and jumpscares, which anybody at a Halloween party would be expecting and delighted by.

Or the Avalon folks don’t really understand how humans work. The elder thinking anybody on the outside would care about a sphinx in particular was pretty telling.

Yeah, but Tim was a normal human, so he’d probably know better if it were the case. Maybe Abby too, given her parents are in Cardiff so she probably wasn’t born a harpy.

Abby’s mother is a harpy, and her father is a satyr. I don’t think it’s possible for her to inherit medallion coverage when there are no harpy medallions. So whatever pocket of Cardiff she grew up in, she had to go heavily bundled to get out and see anything else. (How are Welsh/British laws on home-schooling?)

No, no, no. Tim, your line is “Well, we just had a council representative who said in their roundabout way that they’d shut down the party if The Boney Kings played, because they’re worried about how humans would take your antics.”

Don’t bring the wrath of the bugbear down on you, aim him at the council!

Why can’t both perform separately? Those who know and prefer one vs the other and new guests are only allowed the “safe” option? They don’t even have to let newcomers know about it.

Accidentally nested this the first time, so praying again:

Okay, watching Alec and Kevin for a while now, I really want to know: are the Bugbear speech bubbles an affectation? If not, how does Kevin manage to speak like other species? And either way, what does a dripping speech bubble *sound like*?
