Honestly, I feel like her seeing an Avalon in person might make it more manageable to think of, conceptually.
Not much that can be done about a fear of flying, though.
Just have her travel through Wonderland instead, that’ll make Avalon look even saner.
This is definatly a im much more bothered about the plain than i am about a city of people like my daughter.
Do any of the mythical community find furries who have mythical fursonas and dress up like them offensive? Like, would a Cait Sidhe find wearing cat ears offensive?
That’s an interesting question. It sounds similar to Black Face on the surface, but I think the idea of Black Face was intended to be directly ridiculed and laughed at, meanwhile the furry fandom is admited to high esteem and flattery.
I think this might be closer to “positive racism” and associated feelings than flat out offensive. Something a person would want to correct, discuss uncomfortable feelings about it, but may take a way an avenue of favorable relations if so, so they struggle with finding the right balance.
It doesn’t say anything about her quality as a mother. I can understand that visiting an Avalon would be to much for her atm.
She’s still letting the fact that her daughter is a lioness with wings now sinking in.
It’s hard for me to sympathize here. It’s more than been two years since Honecoming.
This post’s answer might be before the time skip so as to not spoil any character development. There’s also the possibility of not really wanting to embrace a brand new culture that “allowed” to to get kidnapped by, in her view, “one of their own” (dragons). The mixed feelings of wanting to be a good mom and be supportive of her daughter but angry of letting harm reach her is something we cannot ignore be stiring inside her to deal with.

If planes are out of the question, transatlantic cruises from America to Europe are a thing, are really safe, and are lots of fun.
Maybe she shouldn’t have coffee anymore, I don’t know if that is good for her heart.
It’s been 13 years since her last appearance in the comic… will we be seeing any more from Michelle’s mom any time soon? I’m cautiously optimistic since this whole chapter seems to be centered around Michelle, but if you’re willing to spoil in advance whether she’ll show up or not that would be nice
