How about some Cornish mythology, are Knockers a thing? They got brought over to the midwest in the lead rush, and they seem neat.
I’m part Knocker.
Knockers were earth spirits found in mine workings and tunnels. Miners in Cornwall appeased these spirits by feeding them the crusty braids of their Cornish pasties (the bits that would be used as handles by tin miners and would end up being contaminated with metals, hence the tradition of giving away that bit to the fairy folk)
It’s also the only bit of the Cornish Pasty I like.

Does Deer-skull-forest-guy have a Welsh cousin, the Mari Lwyd? Horse-skull-orchard-guy is a Wassailing tradition in Wales, he travels to peoples’ houses and tries to enter by challenging them to traditional Welsh Rap Battles.

Are there any creatures that are both sentient but also predisposed to malice? Other than demons, that is.

No, I mean actual malice. Every creature we’ve seen that would usually be considered a dangerous spirit winds up being Just Some Guy, which I know is the point of the comic, but… are there any creatures that were justifiably feared and considered bad news no matter the circumstances of the encounter?
Hmmm. There are the Nokk, who go insane at old age, as well as other “I’ll drown ya”s (e.g., RQ 192-2/2024), a bunch of outright violent ones (32/2023, 92/2024, 104/2024, 165/2024), and a boatload of critters even the bugbears refuse to talk about (79/2023, 23/2024, 24/2025), but that also means that we haven’t been told anything about their actual motives …
i’d like to know if akhlut in SD are canon, or qallupilluit!
Has the Gryphonator ever produced a ferret/hummingbird cross? Probably two of the most frenetic 90mph couch potatoes in existence (hey, when you dance, you dance hard and when you sleep you become boneless and comatose even during an earthquake)
