Surprise! It’s Anthony and Blanche guest week by the creator of Anthony and Blanche (and many others): Sfé R. Monster! I’ve been friends with Sfé since before I started Skin Deep and they’ve helped me shape the comic through the years by bouncing ideas off each other, creating characters, species (they designed the jubjub birds!), and helping me refine my scripts and even edit my books! There really wouldn’t be a Skin Deep without Sfé! And now Sfé is coming in clutch yet again while my broken arm still heals to answer your questions about everybody’s favorite teenagers: Anthony and Blanche!
If you don’t already follow Sfé’s work, now’s a great time! They have a Patreon full of incredible art and comics!

OMG I love how fluffy Anthony’s wings look and how his hair’s done up. Meanwhile Blanche is channeling so many photos of pangolins looking like such nervous little polite lads
Songwriting! Does one of them write the songs, is it a colab, and if so how much?
OH MAN, I’m looking forward to this *so much!* Love those two. Must make much popcorn.
YEEESSSS!!! Best deer boy!
I don’t have a question, just wanna say that I’m looking forward to this part of Guest Time. Always loved seeing these two around <3
Does Blanche shed his antlers? Or do they just grow from year to year?
His antlers were in velvet when he first appeared and I think I saw an antler on the wall in Reunion, so I’m pretty sure they shed every year? There was also an Ask a few years ago where he mentioned them being in velvet, I think
There was definitely a reader question depicting his various phases and him just being ohgawdihatethis at the shedding part.
I had entirely forgotten the grossness of the shedding-velvet part
Yay! Sfe! I had wondered what had happened to them. I remember them from Eth’s Skin, way back in the day!
Yes, I remember too! The Eths Skin comic just stopped being updated after a while, which was sad, but it is very hard to maintain a webcomic, so fair enough. I am so glad Sfe is still around!
I miss the Eth’s Skin comic, too.
Awesome! Welcome Sté!
Went to check out Sfe’s patreon. Seems like really cools stuff, but someone might want to let them know the link for The Beyond Anthology on their About page currently goes to what appears to be a gambling promotion website.
