Merial does not need the drama that would ensue if her parents realized one of them isn’t human. She does not nEED that.
This month is really busy for me, so I’m doing Reader Questions for December! Skin Deep will return in January!
I’ll be at Midwest Furfest this weekend! Table O8! I’ll have a lot of cool new merch, so if you’re gonna be at the show, come on by!
And also it’s December! So that means it’s time for a new round of SKIN DEEP MERCH CLUB. This quarter’s merch will be enamel pins of Tim and Abbie! Click here for more information about Merch Club!

“Someone’s got to tell ’em!”
How did they (or someone) know to give Merial an amulet if no one knew that would happen?
There are more than one way to trigger a Turning. In Merial’s case, she was an aquatic Mythic who was in the middle of DROWNING! I believe it was mentioned in a previous Reader Question segment, but I forgot which year.
Also, my internet went out while typing this, and I had to redo it on my phone. You’re welcome.
It’s been established that her Turning was triggered by nearly drowning. Obviously, she got the medallion some time later. I still picture her finding it in a collection of heirloom “costume jewelry”.
Uh… That one was already answered.
Abbie, can you tell us about the different types of Harpies? Please? *_*
What are some winter holiday traditions unique to the mythic community?
So… I can get that most of the non-human species have been around for ages and show up in all sorts of myths and lore. But have there been any *new* species popping up, and why? (My brain keeps going BUT WHUT ABOUT CHERNOBYL? and thinking about other radioactive locations.
Still waiting for Ike to bite Lorne on the arm to see what happens between unstoppable force and immovable object.
*lorne turns into a Vampire somehow*
Have there been a pair of un turn descendants of two different Mythos creatures accidentally given each other pendents from an antique seller that worked to turn the other??
lol, Fish Girl.
