Vampire Hammers, other Tools and Watermelons!
Do they exist in this universe, or no?
(Can’t recall if anybody’s asked about regular ol’ vampires, but those are way more boring anyway. )
Iirc, in skindeep, vampires (and werewolves, for that matter) are more like categories humans created and put various mythos into. Then the folklore got turned into entertainment literature and movies, and now the pop culture idea is completely different from the original folklore.
Vampire squash are probably a bugbear thing, though. They’d find that hilarious.

Do griffons with hooves count, or are those just pegasi?
Two suggestions: A griffon or smth based off of a reindeer paired with a really fluffy bird.
You could also just draw a pegasus … with the among us meme.

Are there any mythics that try to exist openly in ‘modern’ times? How do avalons respond if someone ‘gets caught’ or if a human ends up where they shouldn’t and react badly?
Here’s a whole lotta questions about religion that I’ve had built up in my backlog since last year’s reader questions! Feel free to use any one of them if you want, lol.
– Do mythical creatures generally worship the pantheons of the people who wrote their species into their mythology? I’ve been curious about this ever since the Hestia shrine scene, and want to know if it’s the default for family’s like Jim’s that have always been mythical and known it.
– Are there any Avalons specifically centered around worship of niche religions? I can imagine a few of them hiding their true nature under the guise of pagan places of worship.
– How do the holidays generally work in bigger Avalons like Liverpool’s? If there are so many different creatures of different religions and baggage between various species, do they all just agree on some collective “Avalon Day” to come together or do they go out of their way to try and celebrate each and every important date in the most prominent religions?
– Is there a holiday that celebrates the end of the Sphinx/Dragon war? If so, what’s it called? What’s it like?
And this last one, which isn’t about religion at all:
– What’s mythical creature technology look like? Stuff like cameras, phones, computers, etc. for those who don’t want to be in mid or human form all the time. Or those whose mid forms don’t have full fingers (eg the hoofed guys, who iirc only have two fingers and a thumb).
Note: I’m referring to “technology” here very loosely, since Anthony being unable to play his guitar is what originally got me thinking about this. Really, I just want a second part of that one reader question that explained how their houses were different from humans’.
What do mythics do with Shed Fur/Hair/Antlers etc and such, i’m guessing they can’t just throw it away in case it gets picked up and analyzed by humans
I guess just burn it makes a lot of sense? Especially since the Avalons know that magic exists.
That, or sell it if there’s somebody they trust. I can imagine there’s some uses for, say, Nemean Lion hairs unless that power is fully within their pelts.
