Now I’m imagining a wirry cow as something like a grimm hound but as a bull. That would be freaking terrifying!
I wonder, if we keep this line of thinking going, how long will it take us to work our way back around to bears?
Imagine sphinxes of other wild cats like servals with their long legs, snow leopards with their long tails…. or even sabretooths or thylacoleo
I might just be thinking of all the most extreme variations but unique sphinxes popped in my brain after seeing unique bugbear
The first idea I had for my own sphinx was to be based on a Homotherium, stubby tail and all, lol.
Got an aunt who deals with horses and one in particular is absolutely *terrified* of cows. White-faced cows in particular, where they kind of hang out on the edge of the tree line and just *emerge* like a floating skull.
How about a glimpse into an AU universe were Anthony and Michelle turned from mythicals into plain boring humans?
I’ve got ranching family and we joke that cows come in two varieties.
Slow mean
Fast mean
It’s taken humanity millennia to turn the bison and buffalo into something that doesn’t have a startle reflex of ultra-violence.
Why did you think cows would be less scary after Kori has already done a Mari Lwyd?
Anyone who thinks cows are not scary has never lived around them
Now the shaggy coos are worrying me…
oh wirry-cows would be so cute! and they have element of surprise over bug bears. who expects a cow to be stuff of nightmares ? the rivaly between these guys would be legendary
Is the not-deer related to the wirry-cow in Skin Deep lore?
“Cows aren’t scary” definitely said by someone who hasn’t seen an upset limousin face to face, or had to work out how to get to their car past a hereford who just worked out you’re in the paddock. Agree that dairy cows aren’t scary, but beef is a tonne of anger held in a tonne of sharp-hooved stampede.
