Regarded the question about the ‘hoofed guys’, a previous RQ established that they just use those rubber-nub tablet pens.
Hmmm… do centauroid types (hooved variety) get shod? Man, the farriers in an Avalon must have to be GREAT, especially since your clients can write Yelp reviews! If I was a farrier in an Avalon I’d provide a snack-bar for my customers to lean comfortably on, have drinks and munchies at and chat with other clients while their hooves were being done– sort of a cross between a café and a heavy-duty nail salon.
Also, come to think of it, are there indoor shoes for hooved sorts to spare the floors? Horseshoes do a *lot* of damage to wooden flooring.
I think i remember a previous Reader Question where Ike answered that he wears hoof boots instead of metal horseshoes when he needs a little extra protection from terrain. I’m assuming if it exists for horses, it’ll also exist for hooved mythicals.

So, yes, hoofed pipples do get shod. And, considering their urban setting, it’s more likely than not that the shoes are the soft type by default.
There’s an entire field of “furgonomics” in the furry fandom these days.
I wonder how many of them were written up by irl occupational therapists.
