Ooooh, now I wonder what the white means! Also that’s a LOT of Finns to hypothetically have the Finn Blurse at the same time!
given that green is plants and blue is water, we can guess red is fire and white is wind
I think the red = fire was a given, between the fact Phineus the Red was known for his iconic red mane and it turns out he had fire powers, and the Ask from last break of “What if Paulbert had the blurse” and he got fire, too. But the white… Wind DOES sound plausible!
Ooooh this is so interesting! So is Paul better senior Phineas and Timantha’s dad? And then the Tim’s are his grandkids? The long life of the griffins makes it hard to guess I imagine it gets hard for them to keep track of too

Weird question: how long do griffin eggs take to hatch? Or maned griffins’ pregnancies? I just noticed the kids are about 5/6 years apart from each other.

The Finns place this in western tradition, and Ravi places this in Indian tradition. What they have in common is the Greek elemental system from Aristotle – which he proposed as Fire/Water/Earth/Air.
It’s been bent various ways. Some fifth elements like Life and Aether/Void have been proposed. Air was reframed as Wind or Space in a few Indian traditions.
But the color coding of Timanda the White more or less has to be Air, in all the different versions. So Jimothy’s little cousin is would be about air and/or wind and (in some interpretations) cold.
Earth would be possible if the elements include a “Life” category for Jimothy, but Earth=white doesn’t seem likely.
Aether/Void/Space would be possible in other five-element versions and four-element reframings, but all of those seem more likely to be coded black than white.
In the Wuxing/Oriental tradition, she’d probably be associated with Metal. (Reflective=white appears in several language groups, so that’s likely. Jimothy would be reframed as “wood” rather than “Earth” in that system, but Earth=white still doesn’t seem likely).
I for one would love to see what a Metal Elemental could do to the modern world! But Wuxing elements for the thoroughly western Finn family and the Indian magician would be a jarring strangeness in canon.
RE: 5 elements — I’m only familiar with the Japanese elemental tradition, but I learned it as stone, metal, water, wood and fire– stone supports everything, metal issues forth from stone, water rests on stone and metal, wood floats on water, and fire is the only element that flies. Can’t imagine what a metal gryphon’d be like, but it’d be interesting to see.
