I can’t use mine. It’s external, and the designers of the motherboard in my computer said “Parallel port? We don’t need no stinkin’ parallel port!”. I might someday have to invest in a new (internal) one.
There’s external USB Zip drives out there. I got one myself.
They pretty much had to do that because who uses SCSI/Parallel nowadays.
It wouldn’t matter. I’ve only got two discs for it anyway (100 MB)… these days, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, and even thumb drives store much more. (Annoyingly, my new computer doesn’t have any bays for DVD drives. I had to buy an external USB drive.)
