Handshakes 7: Just a Bandersnatch

The sartyr with the orange hair on the top right looks like sampson from effort comics… please correct my if im wrong but the iconic beard is a little coincidental for me :/

When I drew this page (and when I created the character) I had no idea who Ovens or Effort Comics was! And it’s not really an iconic beard, it’s just a goatee+mustache combo! : )

The classic name for that combination is a “Vandyke”. It’s named for the Renaissance painter who showed it in his paintings. He didn’t create the style, he just recorded it.

Heh, they be playing UNO! We played that at lunch in high school because they wouldn’t let up play poker and bet various parts of our meals.

KoryBing, I would just like you to know that I literally was breathless at the sight of the Bandersnatch and the Jub-Jub bird. Their designs are simply beautiful and you are a wonderful amazing person.

Popping in to say I shed a couple happy tears over the jub jub bird and *especially* the beautiful bandersnatch. WONDERLANDERS. My heart. Hope there’s a cheshire cat too, but I’ll be happy with just this :o.
