FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF LORNE
I LOVE HIS ARRRRRRRRMS
/dies a little from the unexpected awesome
it’s my first time reading through, and I really really like your character designs!
PURPLE SPLATTER!
It’s the “……” poster again!
So that is the half-manticore?
… What is the other half? Lion? Manticores were yet another creature supposed to have a human face. Stands to reason his other half couldn’t be human or the like, could it?
A Fender Rhodes? Lordy, I’ve nailed and set up hundreds of those.
After reading Kill them with Kindness it’s kinda scary to imagine that he had to shed his paws in order to get human hands, just for dexterity.
… I realized that this is major spoilers. I don’t mind if this is removed — in fact, I want it to be — and I’ll move the comment/discussion to the reddit. =]
I’d say that’s actually a pretty minor spoiler. Just a little bit of Skin Deep trivia, really.
He doesn’t shed everything. Just the outer layers. Fur, teeth, hooves, claws, maybe some skin, that sort of thing.
I like how his teeth are actually sinking into the screwdriver handle even though he’s just holding it. I guess manticores really can eat anything.
I started reading SD about the time this story arc came out, so I’ve read a few more times since then. The detail of this page that always draws my attention is the door hardware. (It’s relevant to one of my former jobs.)
The hardware on the side of the door facing the tunnel is called a panic bar, because even somebody in a blind panic can instinctively use it. A panic bar is typically installed on the inner side of an emergency exit. The fact that Tim installed it on the side he did suggests that he thinks it more likely for an emergency exodus to be from the tunnel than from the nightclub.
