Oh dear. I hope all the angels aren’t as heartless as this Gabriel seems to be…
I wouldn’t call Gabe heartless, just that they don’t see things like humans do. I don’t know and am not about to guess whether Gabe actually works for a being that created everything, but it’s clear that Gabe isn’t human and seems to be remarkably long-lived and all that jazz. Gabe probably sees things very differently, and worries about the long term goals rather than individual beings.
Which is probably at least partially why Gabe became friends with demons. They’re the only beings that live as long as Gabe does, since the dragons are all busy pretending not to exist.
