Hmmm, wait a minute. Was there some sort of shielding spell on the medallion to delay her transformation? Maybe it just took that long for it to eat through the illusion spell… maybe it’s a security measure, to keep her from going through the initial change out in public where it would reveal their existence?

Hands up anyone who would pick up and examine the suddenly hissing and steaming medallion, as opposed to picking up the laptop and backing away. Eh (on the previous page) I thunked it was the laptop, hands up who would pick up a smoking laptop, and dump it in the sink …..
