Tell you what, despite the fact that I know you wrote this amazing story a long time ago, Kory, it does seem to me that it’s somewhat current in the poor USians neck of the woods right now. Poor bastards can’t catch a break. They have people restricting information in order to prevent understanding, and hate and fear are running rife over there as a consequence.

Thankyou for continuing with a brilliant story for so long. My Tuesday evenings are never the same without another amazing page of Skin Deep.

From my part of the U.S.: You’re sure not wrong– I’ve been considering the parallels too. We have fear being *promoted,* the people in charge want the status quo to shift their way no matter what, and we’re seeing safety-net after safety-net torn down while bigotry and the lack of reason gets pushed into place. This story has been painful at moments but it’s so good to see it happening, and I love your two manticores and the part-manticore who’s reaching out to them for answers more than I ever expected to. Thank you, KoryBing; the Beatles were wrong– sometimes love isn’t *all* you need, you need knowledge and understanding as well.

How long has Greg (and by that extension the others) been in the Liverpool Avalon for him to grow such a luxurious beard?!? Or does growing a beard that fast just a natural thing for a guy and/or satyr?

I know some human folks who have to shave twice a day because their beards grow just that fast. It’s not outside the realm of possibility… though I do reckon part of it is the satyr/goat genes. Some goat breeds do grow magnificent beards! X3

I knew a guy who worked in the cafeteria at the university I attended. He nearly got fired by a new manager until two of his friends vouched for him and told the manager that his beard grew so fast and his pores were so big that he could shave and still look like he needs to shave. Had pictures on their phones too, with time stamps.

I’m guessing Greg’s going to slip them a business card once this conversation is over.

What is it Greg does, again?

More about what his partner does, in this case.
