Someone’s been droppin’ eaves.
Whenever I encounter the word “eavesdropping”, I picture somebody hanging precariously over edge of a roof in order to listen at a window. I’m sure nobody /ever/ fell during such activity…
Aw, that’s nice!- Who might this be???
Wait…IS THAT WOSRET?!
New medallion, who dis?
More than a little rude there buddy
It’d be funny if this was a Wosret.
New times, old patterns
Here comes trouble…
“Aaaahh, finally someone with an informed opinion! Please take a seat, Sir, we’ll interro… discuss the matter in a second – let me just order dinner, breakfast, and lunch delivered for the three of us, quick-like. ‘Til the end of next week.”
I’m guessing it’s someone related to Wosret as of all people, a lineage that /didn’t/ end up losing the sphinx kicking off about medallions coming back would make the most sense. The style of dress has the vibe as well.
Excuse me sir, this is a library. Do not slam the doors.
Very good point. I’m surprised an angry librarian hasn’t popped up and demanded silence!
Mr Worset, I presume?
Wosret, and that was my guess too, he does have a sort of family related vibe with Michelle, so he could be from the other branch of Sphinx, and he was enjoying the full power of the shared pool of power until SHE started using it too
Not likely. All the power was sealed away, and guarded by the Finns. More likely that, if he’s a Worset, being bombarded with half the total power of the sphinx races was a somewhat unexpected and traumatic event.
From my understanding, the Finns were protecting the phoenix “egg” and it triggered Michelle’s connection to the power, it’s not the power itself.
I love the idea that this guy has been standing outside the door, straining to listen to the conversation, and choosing the most dramatically appropriate time to bang it open.
He’s bringing them some Kool-Aid. It’s just the library walls are too nice to smash through.
For a single extremely silly moment I thought it was Ravi.
Hey, no slamming doors in the library. This is a library, not a barn.
Well Im sure this guy wont be a problom.
*Adjusts monocle*
“Slamming doors in a library! How uncouth. Gregory my good lad, headbutt him!”
Ok I spoke too quick on “why the hell nobody tried to make medallion” in my last comment.
Judging by them don’t even know that guy, having a medallion on his own, eavesdropping, I think we are about to find out why.
W-Wosret?
Uh oh! The plot has detected you were almost having a nice moment, Michelle! That’ll teach you!
This guy looks to me like another satyr. His angry entrance, and apparent objection to her efforts at expanding the clientele for medallions, brings to mind the fellow who objected to Jocasta making medallions for heathens such as those Nemean lions instead of for worthies such as himself.
This guy obviously has his own medallion, but he might be concerned about relatives having to do without.
Wosret (or family of Wosret) dis you?
I could swear I heard the Dramatic Musical Sting in the second panel…
