I have a couple of draconic questions:
1)If different types of gryphons require different medallions, would different types — or at least clusters of types — of dragons also require different medallions?
2)What might be ‘Carver’s response to seeing the Welsh flag (“Per fess argent and vert, overall a dragon passant gules.”)?
What other magic elements is it possible for the Finns to be born into? So far we’ve seen fire, water, and plant/earth.
Re-reading Illuminations, Jimothy’s awakening Earth Magic reminded me of a scene in Elfquest. The tribe of Wolfriders were refugees in the village of the Sun People. One of the local matrons is looking over a Wolfrider’s shoulder and chiding him: “Redlance, child, you just planted that seed. You cannot make it grow just by staring — at — it!”

I’ve also remembered a druid spell I came up with when I was dabbling in D&D, years ago. Inspired by something I saw in an Asterix comic, the druid is able to concentrate growth time in a seed, to be triggered by impact or verbal command. I pictured the druid carrying a pouch of acorns and another of dried blackberries. He can throw them by hand or with his sling. A well-placed bramble thicket or oak tree can change a situation.
How would Michelle and/or Jim react to catnip?
