I haven’t heard any pieces of folklore or myths about raptors living in South America today, but Buitreraptor lived in Argentina in the Cretaceous period and was really weird! It had a super long, thing snoot that other raptors didn’t have!

Oh man, this is like a Roadrunner from hell! Considering the plumage of a lot of South American birds, I wonder what this beautiful thing’s feather colors were like– wouldn’t it be wild if it were colored like a Scarlet Macaw or a Trogon? <3

I have a mighty need for a Haast’s eagle griffin. Because HOLY MOLY those things were giant and would mess you up something fierce.
