The Ceryneian Hind of Greek Myth comes from Hyperborea, which was the far northern reaches of the Known World, which, combined with the myth stating that the hind had antlers, suggests that it was a reindeer!
Caribou and Reindeer are actually the same species, and in North America there are Caribou totems.

Yay, more horned ones! I am noticing a trend for these “Bambis.”
A Hind!? Colonel, what’s that doing here?
He looks so proud of the neck-beard of fur
Betcha that Caribou totem up there is Canadian…
OOOH! I love the ceryneian hinds!
I read that their black with bronze hooves and golden antlers!
Q: Are there medallion-using species other than pegasi who can’t use “human” speech in fullform?
Kory mentioned that Blanche can’t speak in full form, when there was a discussion on Blanche’s teeth in midform, in Exchanges chapter 1.
Took me a while to find the exact reference. Been looking for it for about a month now.
It wasn’t in the comments in Exchanges, it was in the comments for Reunion, starting with this post by Greenwood Goat.

AH! SO cool! Thank you so much!
Thank you Kory! I love Greek myths, and am happy that the Hind is in your universe! Can she also outrun an arrow mid-flight?
guy on the right’s default response to every question is definitely “a-yup”
