The moment I saw this theater/nickel arcade in Portland I knew I would put an Avalon in it if I ever did a story set in Portland. It’s too good not to!

As a Portlander, it would be *so awesome* if you set a story here!
I think Kory said that she would do a story in Oregon on the Word of God page on the Skin Deep Wiki.
Same for Wisconsin. The dells are supposed to have quite a few odd things in them, but it’s also touristy. Easy to hide in a town with a Ripley’s Odditorium!
Are you kidding? All of Portland is an Avalon! No one gives a shit.
I’ve driven by that place! If you set a story in Oregon that’d be awesome!
Please tell me there’s a bar in Portland named The Dragon’s Den or something of that nature.
I know you’ve already done a number of baby mythical questions this round, but could you please show us what the Grim brothers look like as babies?
I expect demon grubs. I hope this isn’t the case, but it fits the mold of demon evil and gross- they have a giant dog’s mouth for a portal!
Any south american (Brazil especially!) cryptids?
Well, at least they’re honest…. also NICKLE GAMES!
Everyone always says Portland is full of hippies. The capital of the hippie kingdom is here in Oregon all right, but it’s Eugene.
Reader question: how did Ike and Greg get along when they met?
As a Portlander, I can confidently say, Keep Portland Weird. :D
I’ve got a friend from Oregon. We called her and her mountain medicine stories weird, and she replied that Portland is still stranger than her and her neighbors!
Well, there is always the chance that our American education standards are low enough that we’ll be too dumb to read the sign…
Very cool. Hey Kory do you do the story during the winter because it is when school is in and there is no one to disturb you or is there some other reason?
I know that Wonderland is a chain of arcades, but it’s still great to see the name right there, juxtaposed with Avalon. Do they have a looking glass there?
I’m curious, what do you think would happen if two different shapeshifting races crossbreeding? Would it create a whole new kind of shifter or would the offspring come out one or the other?
LOL, i live like 3 blocks from there. being the out in the open weirdness that this neighborhood tends to attract, i somehow don’t think id even double-take if i saw a gryphon on DDR
Oh, nice!
Heh; here in Tucson AZ we have a rehab facility (medical post-hospitalization rehab, not drugs) called Avalon; I work at a hospital and regularly send patients there for therapy and constant-care healing, but when I do I *always* picture the staff as nixies, satyrs, gryphons, etc. It makes those 10-hour shifts a little more bearable.
To be fair, all those mythics sightings *are* a lot easier to explain away at the *other* rehab. :-P
Or a place for elderly Folk ( what JoB called mythic) where their stories are seen as senile ramblings
I recently visited Eugene, OR…and I gotta say, THAT’S where the real supernatural creatures live. I’m pretty sure I brushed arms with a nix.
there is a hotel call Avalon near pittsburg pa
I’ve driven by this place and literally imagined this lol
