Ravi would be far less infuriating if he simply did not know anything at all or if he reliably knew all things. But I think that makes him charming.

He could tell you what was being sold at a particular stall in the marketplace of Pompei on the day of the volcano but couldn’t tell you where the bathroom is.
I’d love to see a Hognose Snake Totem
I have a good explanation for Ravi’s cheese memory. Basically, even immortals have only so much RAM/hard drive space at any given time in their lives. So given enough time, he’ll even forget when he last saw Angkor Wat at its prime.
It’s been a while, but I actually read somewhere once that there’s currently no known limit to the amount of information a human brain can hold. The trick is being able to recall that information when we want to/need to.
How did powerful/mythical beings like Ravi come into existence? Did the collective human belief in a higher power “poof” them into being?
Always been fascinated with the whole “belief in a thing, creates the thing” concept. Its been my head-canon for a while that it is actually humans that created all the mythical creatures of the Skin Deep universe, by first imagining them and then believing in them. It’s why humans don’t have “magic” in the traditional sense, but a collective power of creativity/creation.
