I realized while making this that Wristcutters didn’t receive wide release until 2007 but it’s a really good movie and Greg would love it a lot, so idk he got some bootleg copy from Sundance or something.

The Kickstarter is over 75% funded! Help it reach the goal!

Greg has connections. I’m sure he got to see it “somehow”. I hadn’t realised Little Miss Sunshine was that old!

And every now and again I get reminded that although I absolutely love his character build, I would likely not be friends with Jimothy (and that’s okay!).

Believe it or not, I have yet to see any of those four movies. (So many movies, so little time…) But, one of my regular 4th-of-July movies that I just re-watched was released in 2006: “Live Free or Die Hard”. Also in 2006, Bruce Willis provided the voice of RJ the raccoon in “Over the Hedge”; a rather more light-hearted caper. (I finally cracked the seal on it a few hours ago.)

Digging a little deeper in my meager (-ish) collection, I also found: “The Last Legion”; “The Legend of Zorro” (starring Antonio Banderas & Catherine Zeta-Jones); “My Super Ex-Girlfriend”; and “X-Men: The Last Stand”, all released in 2006.

Serenity.

YES, IT RELEASED IN 2005. I know.

But I found the DVD for sale in 2006, having not heard of it, or Firefly beforehand.

Damn good movie.

I agree. The “Firefly” series only ran for one truncated season before network execs managed to kill it. The DVD set includes three episodes that were never originally aired, and the original premiere was aired last. The movie was largely a response to the clamor raised by irate fans.
