Yes yes, who IS that guy..?

He’s got the same moustache as Bloodcarver, just saying…

I don’t see a medallion, though. Not that you actually need to yours around your neck.

And if he is, then I have a theory about his sunglasses: Michelle isn’t a expert crafter yet, and like Myra’s damaged medallion, Bloodcarver can’t disguise his eyes.

The medallions were just a convenient way to store the magic of the phoenix egg. Michelle has direct access to it. She may not need to make a medallion to help him “blend in.”

Oh. I wonder if Bloodcarver is now “trapped” as a human. Sort of like the spell that Michell’s line inherited until she touched the medallion.

The upside would be that no one can take it away from him, and there wouldn’t be any accidents related to not being in a dragon-sized space.

Bloodcarver In Human Form: “Really beginning to rethink this whole Avalon thing”

or comparing the atmosphere to what he is used to : friendly bickering solved by talking and teasing, noise and music, people.
people who react to an obvious and somewhat aloof stranger seemingly belonging to a group the people were trying to keep out (humans) with neutrality and only superficial curiosity

Not being drained slowly to death
freedom of moving, coming and going
actual food and beverage, without need even…

at the cost of looking like the wrong specie and some discomfort

If it is Bloodcarver, that is.

*species. Singular of species is species! Specie is something to do with money. The more you know~

Specie is an archaic word that means an amount of money in coins and specifically only coins, not paper money.

Some definitions of the term specie will also include raw precious metals as specie.

Yep! For example, the phrase “gold bullion” is generally understood to mean bars or ingots instead of coins.

I just remembered the unexplained money in /The Peace War/ by Vernor Vinge. The basic unit is the gAu, with mgAu as the subunit. Anyone familiar with scientific nomenclature should recognize those as gram (or milligram) of gold. [I pronounce “gAu” to rhyme with “cow”.] When I first read it in the 90s, the price of gold was around $310 per ounce. Since there are just over 31 grams per troy ounce, that would be $10 per gAu, or 1cent per mgAu. Now, you need to shift the decimal point. (Imagine what a comic might say about a hypothetical system like that on a silver standard.)

Hold on, what’s that mean – One of Abby’s “human pet projects”? What’re you up to, Ms. Okypete?

I think he just means all the humans getting into at least this part of the LA. Some might feel like now their favorite pub has gone to shit. Like when all the zoomers inevitably turn 21. I might have to leave the country. (Jk. Just don’t ask for any Korean shit, read the room.)

At least this shows he’s not Kevin in human guise. That was a real possibility but nobody seemed to twig to it. I’m guessing it’s not Bloodcarver. I expect medallion making to be an industrial craft similar blacksmithing, passed down from master to apprentice and Michelle has no one to apprentice to. She’d have to start over from first principles and recreating a lost craft from nothing could take years. My bet is this is Ike’s father checking up on his boy, which he can do now that humans are allowed into the pub.

I think he might be Isaac’s dad. Remember he was in the shots with the manticore. And as we know, Isaac’s dad asked someone to put a spell on him to look human.
