And despite his long hair, hair stylists love him; his hair automatically becomes wet when you cut it!

Far more easily than Jim.
Colin has water manipulating powers, so he could easily remove the water from his fur, mane, wings, and tail tuft. In human form, his hair only becomes water when cut, and I would guess that also applies to his mane.
