We’re finally out of that crater! I can’t wait to draw something different!*
*the same grey and purple and yellow desolate forest. Maybe there’s a reason Bloodcarver and Vera want to leave, actually.

Hardcore parkour!
I want to believe that Vera truly has their best interests at heart, and that she’s not planning to do some typical demon bullshit out on the living plane. I really like her as a character, and while that’s not gonna change if she turns out to be antagonistic, it would be so fun to have a demon side character you can actually trust.
I have an image in mind of her stepping out into the world, and it’s raining. She feels the rain on her body, a sensation she has never felt before, and she just falls to her knees and starts weeping. Now things like food and drink? She’s gonna overload her senses real quick.
Colin teaching Vera about all the coolest things. “Wait till you learn about macaroni and cheese!”
… seeing that the topic of thumbs!! will carry only so far with her …
I don’t care if this is actually canon, but I want to at least see a fanfiction of this.
Seconded.
About Vera and new experiences… she’s probably going to react like an autistic person who put on a wool sweater before realizing that they have a severe aversion to wool.
Eh, I personally think “You got everything you wanted and you hate it. Isn’t it ironic? Don’t you think?” is played out.
Perhaps a dose of “Wow. This is awful. I still enjoy it from a framework of feeling ANYTHING is better than the wasting stasis of Dis.”
“ We’re finally out of that crater! I can’t wait to draw something different!*”
Yay!
I love that vaulting over rocks and stuff seems to be a personality trait of Vera’s
Just look at her body plan. She has extremely short, stubby legs, and extremely strong, swole arms. Like just her forearms are about as long as her whole legs from thighs to feet. It makes sense that she’d use her arms to move instead of her legs whenever she can; it’s just more energy-efficient. The other thing she could try is stilts, like a traditional Landes shepherd.
Hopefully the buildings in the demon city are more innovative than older architecture in Washington D.C. The concrete Brutalist movement was not good. Now THERE is soul-crushingly dull corporate design.
I like Vera. I don’t trust her but I like her, and I hope she makes it out of Dis.
