I’m curious who the cub and foal checking out the meat market are! My first thought was Ike’s little brother Cy (a buggane would make sense for a horse-shaped person excited about meat), but they seem too small to be Cy after the timeskip (I think it’s been 2 years in comic since we last saw Ike’s family?)
Dude dont say that you know damn well things always go bad when you talk like that!
No Tim!!!!! Don’t set up a Chekhov’s gun!!!
Love the kids looking through the window like its a sweet shop.
“Muuuum! can i get a cow liver?”
“Absolutely not, you won’t eat it all and you’ll be sticky while we’re shopping. Besides, we have goat liver at home.”
“Uggghh it’s not the same”
“Hey do you wanna go in together and use our pocket money to buy a whole chicken, you can have the legs if you want”
Well, Tim, you jinxed it. Good job, asshole.
A Richard tease if you will
He sure is starting it
Talking about shoes when some folk have taloned feet. Ugh.
The phrase originally refers to the shoes being loudly dropped, one at a time, by the upstairs neighbor while the downstairs neighbor tries to sleep.
Of course, it’s used to metaphorically allude to the tension of waiting for the second shoe.
(An old Charles Addams cartoon showed the downstairs neighbors anxiously waiting while they lie awake, unaware that the upstairs neighbor is an amputee with only one shoe to drop.)
Watch the satyr run.
Run, disaster, run…
At first I thought the running satyr was Greg, but the horns are too curly.
The strolling centaur is someone else we haven’t met yet.
Also, that satyr has no beard. So again, not Greg.
Nos Galan Gaeaf?
Anyone know what this means?
It’s the traditional Welsh celebration of yhe first day of winter, held on November 1st and in modern times sometimes conflated with Halloween.
Abby is Welsh.
Is there any better way to confirm that some absolutely massive disaster WILL happen? Honestly, the only possible way to subvert an expectation like that is to have it be a relatively manageable incident–and even that feels kind of disappointing if that’s where it ends!
Was trying to read the sign and thought my eyes were going until I realized it wasn’t English!
That’s a terrible choice of words considering the types of creatures that exist in this world. XD
He’s practically inviting Mari Lwyd to come knocking and confiscate all their booze…
I am embarrassed to tell you all that it took me til today to figure out why he’s called Tim and what the horns are referring to.
I am ashamed and will go into my corner.
Got room there for one more? :D
Yep, come here and let’s rewatch Monty Python Holy Grail so it shall never happen again xD
Check out #34 of the February 2017 RQs.
I don’t think there are February 2017 RQs? At least not linked in the Reader Question page
The RQ is dated 16 Feb 2017, but that block of RQs shows up on the site menu as “Feb-Mar 2016”. (I just checked; first I looked in my “save image as” files.)
Let’s make that a link for everyone to see for themselves …

Welp he’s said it. Should’ve kept it to himself.
